Voice training
April 2010 - Jude taught "Practical Phonetics" for Vocal Process Integrated Voice certification course.
Feb 2010 - Helena taught one module of "Fundamentals of the Singing Voice" for the British Voice Association
Nov 2009 - Jude was a special guest presenter at "How Your Voice Works" one-day workshop run by leading voice experts Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher of Vocal Process
2008/2009 - Jude trained post-graduate students and research staff in voice and presentation skills in the Department of Biology, University of York.
2008 - Helena trained post-graduate students in voice presentation skills for the Graduate Training Programme at the University of York.
2003 - Jude was voice coach for Mind the Gap Theatre Company, Bradford who produce award winning theatre by actors with learning disabilities
Prizes
2008 - Jude won the prestigious Van Lawrence Prize for voice research awarded by the British Voice Association for achievement in the field of voice. Her presentation explored the ways that singers change their performance according to different acoustic environments.
2008 - Helena won the Mary Stott Award award at the Dept. of Electronics for Excellence in Scientific Research.

July 2009 - Jude and Helena (with David Howard) presented "An introduction to the Science of the Singing Voice" at the National Early Music Association conference in York.
2009 - Helena presented "The Use of Electro-Laryngography in Comparing Modern Singers Specialising in Early Music and Grand Opera" at the Hearing and Seeing Conference with the British Voice Association, London.
July 2009 - Helena presented "Vibrato production and its impact on spectral energy in the performance of early music" at the National Early Music Association Conference, York.
August 2007 - Helena presented "Singing Early Music" at the Pan European Voice Conference in Holland.
2006 - Helena presented "Pilot study: the effects of period instruments on the voice" and Jude presented "A Voice Source analysis of head and chest registers in singing" at the 3rd International Conference on the Physiology and Acoustics of Singing in York.
Public events
2004 - Jude was one of the presenters for the Institution of Engineering and Technology Faraday Lecture "SoundFX" - a high-paced theatrical hour-long presentation exploring Music Technology and aimed at 14-19 year-olds, which toured to large concert hall venues around the UK and was broadcast live over the internet to USA and China.
